Exciting News: End of Beta!

As we are working diligently to solidify the new and amazing Guild Website features of GuildToad, we are excited to announce that GuildToad is nearing the end of its beta state. We hope to have GuildToad's new features up and running by the early weeks of November. 

Some of these features are:
- Live Guild Chat! This little gem will allow you to freely chat with any fellow guild members who are also on the website. The chat will 'float' on the page and will persist throughout your visit to the website, so you can chat and surf the guild site unrestrained! This is a very exciting addition, as it will really allow you to communicate with your guild in the most effective manner. Of course, for more static discussions, the GuildToad Guild Website Forums are a great place for those to take place.

- Guild Website Design! is now customizable! Not only can you chose from a handful of AMAZING pre-built Guild Website designs, but you will also be able to choose a level of customization for those designs. You can choose the 'Simple Site Customization', which will allow you to modify an existing simple design in an extremely easy fashion. For those hard-core web developers/designers, there's the '100% Customizable' option, where we let you edit the CSS of the website.... that's right! You have the reigns! You can customize 100% of your website colors, styles and images.

- Revamped Control Panel! The new and improved Guild Website Control Panel is extremely easy to use and intuitive. This tool allows you to have 100% control over your Guild Website. You can change the appearance, permissions, functionality, all to your liking!

- Customizable Home Page! The new Guild Toad Guild Website home page will allow EACH user to customize the layout of his/her home page. With choices of content boxes such as: Recent Forum Posts, Who's Online, Recent News, New Topics and much more!

These features will be implemented just in time for you to use this amazing guild website along with your subscription of World of Warcraft™ Wrath of the Lich King! 

The amazing new features of this expansion haven't gone unnoticed. We are planning to integrate the guild calendar with the in-game calendar, so that events can be managed from the website as well as in-game. We are also planning on capturing new features based on the new professions and new game mechanics!

We have had a slew of great ideas for improving the websites! Now our users will be able to customize their website in different "modes". The first one is for those who want to customize it quickly and easily. You can choose what colors you want, upload a banner, and boom! You're done. We are getting a new home page!

Thats right. Guildtoad is getting a major makeover. Soon the hideously ugly design that, yes, I created (hey, it was good for the time I had, but even then I knew I could do wayyyyyyy better!) will be forever history. A new, shiny, beautifully modern and slick design will replace it. Just in time to show off our new tutorial page!

What is the tutorial page you ask?
Well, we were worried that many people would create their site, but not know the full potential of it. So, we would like everyone to blow through a quick, easy to understand, and info-packed tutorial to show them all the features! We are also making a customization wizard to help speed up the process of making your website look like YOUR website.

In short, Guildtoad is making major progress! Hopefully within the next little while, people everywhere who play World of Warcraft (WoW) will realize how cool these custom sites are and grace us with their presence. We will not disappoint.

Progress on guildtoad design

We are live! That is exciting news for us. There is still a lot of work to do, however. If you are new to GuildToad and you don't know what it is, exactly, please read the short description below:

Guildtoad is a software that we created to help with managing guilds in the MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) World of Warcraft (WoW). It has a free version, which includes these features: Forums, Event Scheduling, a calendar that shows the events, a news area, customizable polls, a screen shots page, and a guild roster. It is linked with the Armory.

Another version of guildtoad that will soon be available is called CopperToad. It is ad-free. If you would like your own domain name (instead of having one that is called www.yourguild.guildtoad.com) then you should sign up for SilverToad. If you want both a customized domain name (www.yourguild.com) and an ad-free site, then GoldToad is for you.
